Ants

We have lived in this house for almost two years now, and we have had an ant problem from the start. I think the main reason for this is that the house was empty for a long time before we come along.  We have tried store bought products and finally an exterminator. In the end nothing worked. So I tried my own DIY type of thing and now we have no ants. This is what I did.

Outside of the house: I poured a mixture of equal parts boiling water, lemon juice, and white vinegar on all ant hills I could find.

Inside of the house: I made a mixture of borax and honey.

 I still see a small stray ant, but for the most part the ants are gone. It's great.
